Internet at the hotel has been very intermittent the past two days. And as I write this the water is out too.
We spent Tuesday morning in San Ramon. It’s considered a municipal since it’s over 10,000 people. They have trash service, a courthouse, etc.
With the rising cost of food instead of doing food distribution we handed out food vouchers for a local grocery store so they can choose what’s best for their family.
We met at John Mendez’s church who works with Pathway Dominica and we met last year as well. He lives in Aleman but preaches in San Ramon.
I’ll say this was my most uncomfortable time with the vouchers. It felt very forced with bringing them in to preach to before they could receive the vouchers.
After lunch in Aleman; which is a lunch ministry in itself. Dio’s mom cooks for us and we are able to double the amount of food cooked and she then distributes to those in need.
Anyway after lunch we went back to Ana’s working more in the house.
On Wednesday we spent the entire day at Ana’s. I was able to use some of the money to recover her chairs that we also painted. And repaired and painted the table to match. Bremy the youngest son hung with us most of the day and bubbles are a universal language.
I also spent the evening sewing curtains for her bedroom and kitchen in the hotel.
